Favourite Character, Favourite Performance

Ok, so I just had this idea to liven up the Hang-Out section a bit!

So, we're just naming series and sharing our favourite character from that series and our favourite (i.e. the performance you thought was the most outstanding) performance from that series.

If you can't seem to name 1 favourite character then, you can can a favourite male and female character. Same for the favourite performance.

Next:
Moonlight Resonance.

Please take part! :)
This way we can kinda discuss different series without having to ask too much!

Kind of hard to choose...I think for Fav. Male Performance (FMP), I would choose Ha Yu. For Fav. Male Character (FMC), I would choose Wayne Lai. For Fav. Female Performance (FFP), I guess I'll go with Susanna Kwan and for Fav. Female Character (FFC), I would choose Lee Si Kei.

At first, I had Lee Si Kei for FFP and Susanna for FFC, but I switched them around. I didn't choose Susanna's character for FFC because she was a bit annoying at times, but she was also the one who gave me the laughs.

I like those characters who changed throughout the series (and are the least annoying), such as Ha Yu's, Susanna's, and Lee Heung Kam's.

next: Heart of Greed.

Reply to Honeybee:
Yeah, in MR, Ha Yu was definitely my favourite male performance too... My favourite character would be Lee Si Kei and my favourite female performance would be either Susanna Kwan or Lee Heung Kam :) Maybe Susanna.

Heart of Greed:
Favourite performance: Definitely either Moses Chan or Ha Yu. I think during most of the series, I kind of not really noticed Ha Yu's performance because of the focus on other characters like, Linda, Ray, Moses, Susanna etc. But I think performance-wise, I'd choose him over Moses because looking back, I really liked Moses' character but his performance didn't feel as natural as it could. I could even say it was a bit exaggerated at times.

For my favourite character, I would have to say Moses Chan :) Very likeable and sincere.

(Do you realise we always have discussions on MR and HOG? I think it's because they're two series we're sure that people have seen...)

lol...Yeah, I agree that probably everyone has seen MR and HOG. Well, I couldn't really choose new series because I know you haven't watched many, so I started looking at the 2007 series' list and HOG was kind of the first one I came to (I skipped about half of 2007 series myself and I want to choose a series I have watched).

I think I liked Ha Yu's character more in MR than HOG. For FMC in HOG, I think I would choose Moses. For FMP, I don't know - either Moses or Ha Yu too. For FFC and FFP, I'm going with Lee Si Kei.

For TDOP, I didn't watch the whole series, but for FFC and FFP, I would probably choose Gigi, even though Ada did well too. For male, I would choose Bowie.
I didn't watched WAB, but I think Bowie and Gigi should have gotten the award for TDOP instead of WAB.

Yeah, I think Bowie and Gigi did very well in TDOP, and so did Charmaine and Ada. My favourite character would definitely be Gigi :)

The Charm Beneath:
The best performance would be Gigi. She was most consistent throughout the series and I felt most for her character. I think I would also choose her for favourite character (maybe Yoyo, but I don't think her character was as well-developed).

Yeah, I like Gigi in TCB too. I liked her characters in TCB and TDOP more than WAB.
I like Yoyo's character in TCB too.

RDOV just finished replaying and I watched some of it. I think I liked Kenix's performance the most.

Hmm... Well, there aren't many performances in ITA, but I think I like Melissa's the most. As for character, definitely Kenneth Ma!!

lol...Did you notice that our replies have gotten shorter? They're about 1-2 sentences long now.

Louis for male character and performance. For female, I don't know about performance; I don't think anyone's performance actually stood out, but I kind of like Joyce Tang's character.

next: Gods of Honour

I think because our answers are more obvious and don't need as much explaining as HOG and MR...

Gods of Honour:
Best performance... Definitely Kingdom Yuen!! She was great as always! She's also my pick for favourite character.. But I like Chin Ka Lok too (most of the time!). There's not many other likeable characters.

Hmm... I think in VOH, everyone mostly is on the same-level with their comedic acting... But I really like Kingdom Yuen, Lee Kwok Lun and Steven Ma in there :) But I think everyone's great too. For characters, I'd choose Michael Tse and Cutie Mui.

I think I loved everyone's performance in ATE2!! Standouts, probably Ada's performance! She was great in her role, but Liza was close behind too. For favourite female character, I do really like Liza's character, but Kenix was very enjoable to watch.

As for the men, though I think they were less outstanding than the women, Louis, Roger and Gallen all gave decent performances! I think I'll stick to Liza/Kenix for my favourite characters as Louis isn't that likeable, and both Gallen and Roger were also unlikeable at times.

I don't remember much about BF 2, so I kind of want to rewatch it when I have a chance to, but I do remember I didn't really enjoy the series much. For performance, I'd probably choose Jenny Shing and for fav. characters, probably Annie Man and Stephen Au.

Hmm.. This one's a hard one because with such a big cast, no one really stood out in front as they all had decent performances... For male performance and character, I'm gonna go with Gordon Lam... and probably Esther for female performance. Favourite female character, probably Nadia.

I really liked Benny's comedic performance in this series... And I liked his character more than Michael and Linda's. I also liked Shirley's character, but she was a bit annoying at times. So I'd say Benny is my favourite character.
