Horizontal lines on a MacBook Pro can appear for various reasons, from temporary macOS glitches to issues with the display, the display cable, or the internal connection. To identify the cause, restart your computer, update macOS, and connect an external monitor to see if the lines appear there as well. Apple states that keeping macOS up to date can resolve some system issues, while persistent lines on the built-in display may require professional diagnosis.
