Out of all the Best Actors, who do you think did the best performance? Also, please discuss, if you believe another actor deserved the Best Actor Award in a particular year... For example, I don't think Roger Kwok deserved his award for Life Made Simple, though I cannot think of anyone else who really stood out in 2005 (The closest would've been Moses Chan in the Charm Beneath). Also, I think Kevin Cheng should not have gotten a Best Actor award in 2006, for his performance in Under the Canopy of Love. His performance was not a breakthrough, or nothing special, and definitely did not stand out... I would have prefered if Steven Ma won for Safe Guards, or Bowie Lam won for Dance of Passion (Instead of War and Beauty in 2004).
First of all, I have not watched Under the Canopy of Love, so I'm not going to say much about it, but I don't think Kevin's performance would be a breakthrough for him. I was really surprised he won for 2006. Out of those who won, I would choose Louis for good performance in A Step into the Past in 2001. I think he definitely deserved it. Others who I thought their performance was good were Bobby for Witness to a Prosecution, Roger for Square Pegs, and Gallen for Golden Faith. For 2005, I wanted Joe to win the award. I'm not saying I didn't like Roger's performance in Life Made Simple, but I really wanted Joe to win. AM, I agree with you about Steven or Bowie winning the award for 2006. I think either one of them deserved it more than Kevin.
I agree with the actors that you said, except for Gallen, who I voted for Secret of the Heart instead, because I haven't seen Golden Faith. I just hope this year's results for the Best Actor is better than last year's :)
for me the best performance would be from gallen..though hard to choose which series cos i think hes great in all of them..i also think roger did good in square pegs but dont think he should have won for life made simple cos its pretty much the same character..
am still waiting for moses to scoop and award..was hoping he would win last year but somehow kevin got it..hes not a bad actor and his character was great (totally lovable..hehe..but then so was raymond lam's in lfd) but didnt think it was his time..
I like Gallen Lo in Golden Faith and Roger Kwok in Life Made Simple. I find Kevin's acting in Under The Canopy Of Love alright so I voted for him too. ^^
Of Course I voted for Gallen in Golden Faith - my fav series in the whole world and he was great! AM_092 - Agree Steven or Bowie should have got the 2006 award or many be Bobby for FH. Plus Roger was not that great in Life Made Simple.
