It's a bit after midday for me today. My college was closed today cause their was no water supply, so I got a day off! But it was a waste of time cause I had to travel there and back. I just came home... I'm currently watching th Ellen DeGeneres show. What's everyone else doing today/tonight? (depending on your time).
Midterms are coming up for me in 2 weeks and there are so many assignments and tests shooting at me. Ive also watched Ellen, with her interviewing Michelle Monahan. ive fallen into temptation and watched the last few episodes of MR on youtube. Thank god for subtitles! Im loving MR's ending song, i just found it & downloaded it. A chinese classic!
We watched the same episode! In Australia, we're about 1 or 2 episodes behind the U.S. What's the ending song for MR? Who sings it? I've quit Forensic Heroes II... Not that I think it's boring, I just don't have the modivation to continue watching. I also have Catch Me Now, and my dad finished in 3 days and said it was good, but I have no intentions of watching it. I might change my mind later on, since Honeybee recommended in the other thread...
Yeah, I though Catch Me Now was pretty good. I sometimes think about the endings to decide if a series is good or not, but I actually didn't for this one. Even though the ending may not be the way I wanted it to be, I actually thought the series was good. It's probably because I really like Damian's character.
AM: What do you mean by ending song? You mean the subtheme or the song they sang at the end?
I'm not sure what Jenn meant by ending song, so I called it what she called it. Some people do refer to the subtheme as the Ending song... so I don't know.
I wanted to make sure because I thought you would have already known who sung it. Anyway, Raymond sang the ending theme. I think it's called Love Without Regrets or something along the line.
I've heard about him singing one of the songs, because I've read that there's more than one (or maybe I misread). I haven't actually read much about the series, so I wasn't sure.
yep there's more then 1 subtheme there's a lot. If you want to know which ones they are u can go here http://virtuesofharmony.net/alsy/?page_id=10 scroll down and stop where you see moonlight resonance soundtrack it lists all of them there. I call them subthemes but some ppl call them inserts because it's in the middle of the series like the background songs.
AM: As for catch me now you should watch it it was a pretty good series for me I liked it. It might not seem interesting but it is interesting.
honeybee: yeah the ending was pretty good I didn't want it that way either but sometimes I think that tvb goes too far with alternate endings they add one for almost every series where someone dies. I hated that johnson lee died I actually prefered him more with koni lui then sharon chan. I don't know why but to me sharon and him just didn't match that well.
When i said the ending song, i meant the song that they all sang in the end. I believe its a chinese classic. I downloaded it, its called Moon Represents My Heart and im sure most people have heard it before.
i enjoyed the beginning of Catch Me Now, and the ending. i skipped several parts in the middle & as for FH 2, i personally thought that it was dry. I didnt find the cases to be captivating at all and they spent a lot of time on some silly cases. I know some people like it a lot, but for me, i would have passed it if i had the chance. I only watched it for Frankie & Bobby. Though, frankie;s role as Dr Koo is still spectacular.
Oh, I know that song! I like that song too. It was in Life Made Simple, and I think Angela Tong sang it once as well. Yeah, Frankie was my favourite character in Forensic Heroes II. Yoyo was my favourite in the first one, but I think they made her a bit bland in the sequel. She really didn't have much to work with. I also hated her hair! Has everyone here voted at TVBsquare? I voted for Forensic Heroes, so I'm a little upset that FHII's winning... But majority rules.
yeah the second one of forensic heroes wasn't as good as the first one maybe because of the cases and because they gave less screen time to yoyo. I would have prefered linda not dying but it had to air then and she was filming another series so that sucked.
have anyone seen this yrs anniversary nominations yet? what do you guys think?

I don't understand! The nominations list usually contains almost everyone in tvb (those who are contracted). What's the point of having 10 people in each category, then narrowing it down to 5? I don't get it... It's not really a nominations list of there's only HALF of everyone.
Is this TVB's List? Has the HK people voted already? Is this the result? Because if not, then it should look like last years, so people can actually have choices to votes from...
I think it the list should be like the previous years: 1. Roger Kwok Glittering Days 2. Bobby Au-Yeung Dicey Business 3. Joe Ma The Conquest 4. Ha Yu Heart Of Greed 5. Moses Chan Heart Of Greed 6. Michael Tse Family Link 7. Michael Tao On The First Beat 8. Ron Ng On The First Beat 9. Sammul Chan On The First Beat 10. Sunny Chan Green Grass Of Home 11. Kevin Cheng Devil's Disciple 12. Bosco Wong Devil's Disciple 13. Damien Lau Drive Of Life 14. Michael Miu Drive Of Life 15. Raymond Lam Drive Of Life 16. Wong Hei Fathers & Sons 17. Steven Ma Steps 18. Wayne Lai - Steps 19. Dayo Wong Men Don't Cry 20. Yuen Biao The Ultimate Crime Fighter...
Where's Supporting Actor? I hope this isn't the OFFICIAL list!! Cause I remember in 2006, the first TOP 5 list were Kevin, Bowie, Adam, Damian and Raymond and Charmaine took up 2 places, while Gigi missed out... But that wasn't really this official one... I thought if you've won Most Improved, you're not nominated again? Has Tavia won before? Why is the Most Improved category already finalised? Well, at least they're all actors!! I'm very unhappy with the list.
I found the supporting actors list... Tsui Wing [Best Of Selling Secret] Stephen Au {Best Of Selling Secret] Derek Kwok [War In Law 2] Wayne Lai [The Gentle Crackdown 2] Paul Chun [Wasabi Mon Amour] Kenneth Ma [Tai Chi] Johnson Lee [Catche Me Know] Chow Chong [Moonlight Resonance ] Oscar Leung [Your Class Is Mine] Lo Chung- Him [your class is mine]
tavia was one of the first to win..she won for vigilante force but she has been in that category nearly every yr after that..guess you can still improve after winning an improvement award..lol..
I was just at Asianfanatics, and I read that Tavia actually agreed that she shouldn't be in that category... I really hope this isn't the REAL List. It seems so artificial! Where's Best host, best variety program, best series, best promotional clip?? And I assume TVB ditched the 'Mainland's Choice' award for actor and actress... We can just all predict that Moonlight Resonance is going to get ALL (if not, then most) of the awards. I'm not saying they don't deserve it (I haven't watched it, yet). But what's really the point if the people from TVB are the ones who's picking the winners. There's not even any details for the voting by HK viewers, like last year...
i think moonlight deserver all the awards this year..and im glad that gem of life isnt in this yrs award..gives them more chance for next year..sure its gna be a great series!
Yeah, I'm quite excited by the Gem of Life. I've seen a music video that was recorded from a promotional event. Didn't really hear the themesong properly, though.
Hey, I've recently seen some pics from the Lighting ceremony... Can someone please tell me who's standing right at the start of the front row? And the person standing between Charmaine and Nancy Sit? Oh, I'm surprised Matthew Ko's in the 2nd row!
first row is sheren tang, maggie siu, ada choi, gigi lai, louise lee, liza wang, guy who owns tvb, dodo cheng, susanna kwan, charmaine sheh, teresa mo, nancy sit, michelle yim, lee heung kam
Hey guys, in regards to this year's anniversary, these are my tops: Best Actress: Either Michelle Yim or Susanna Kwan. Though im kind of gearing more towards Michelle. But either im content with.
Best actor: Raymond Lam
I haven't put much thought into the other categories so i still have to think about it.
Anyways, it would be a great help if someone can tell me what the name of the song that Eason & Michelle sang in the beginning of the clip is. Im in love with that song, & i just can't seem to find out what its called. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hgm_SNkKANI
Also, i think Fala has a really good voice. She is MUCH better than many of the other stars who sing. I personally think she's a lot better than Linda, though i never really fancied Linda's voice to start with.
Best Actor: I'm sure Raymond's gonna win... I haven't watched Moonlight Resonance yet, so no comment.
I think the other Top 5 nominees will be: Roger Kwok - D.I.E Ha Yu - Moonlight Resonance Moses Chan - Moonlight Resonance Kevin Cheng - Last One Standing Though, I hope Damian gets in there, somehow...
Best Actress: Firstly, I must say I think Myolie should be at least nominated in this category, and whether she makes the Top 5 or not, it doesn't matter. I think she did well in WOIL2, and I really think she was possibly gonna be in the Top 5.
I think Michelle Yim is going to win. I haven't watched Moonlight Resonance, but I really don't have to watch it to know what a great actress she is. I think she deserves it. Before the list came out, I really thought Susanna was going to be in the Supporting section. Does she have that many scenes in MR?
I think the other Top 5 nominees will be: Liza Wang - Wars of In-Laws II Charmaine Sheh - Forensic Heroes II Louise Lee - Moonlight Resonance Susanna Kwan - Moonlight Resonance
Best Supporting Actor: There's really no front runner for this award, but I think Derek Kwok should get it for WOIL2.
I think the other Top 5 nominees will be: Wayne Lai - The Gentle Crackdown 2 Kenneth Ma - Tai Chi Johnson Lee - Catche Me Know Chow Chong - Moonlight Resonance
I'm guessing that Kenneth will be in the list because I think he is well favoured by TVB. I haven't watched Tai Chi, so I don't know how well he did. I think Paul Chun did pretty good in Wasabi Mon Amour, though he had played a lot of father-type roles before, so really nothing different from him. Though, that doesn't take away the fact that he did act his role well.
Best Supporting Actress: Someone from Moonlight Resonance will get this award. There's four nominees from MR, and it's possible that all four will make this final 5, though I'm hoping that only 3 of them make it.
I think the Top 5 nominees will be: Joyce Tang (War of In-Laws 2) Lee Heung Kam (Moonlight Resonance) Tavia Yeung (Moonlight Resonance) Fala Chen (Moonlight Resonance) Kate Tsui (Moonlight Resonance)
I think it's really inevitable that all four of them will be in the Top 5. If the four from MR do make it to the final, that only leaves 2 people who I think could possibly deserve to be there. Since I've heard how 'bad' Kate was in MR, she could possibly (but unlikely) be replaced by either Sharon for Catch Me Now or Bernice from Wasabi Mon Amour.
Favourite Male Character: If, and only if Raymond does not get the Best Actor award he will get this award. Other than that, I think Roger might take this one for D.I.E. I just want to mention that I think this award is COMPLETELY useless. The award is called My Favourite Male Character. The actors and actresses DID NOT write the scripts, so they did not contribute to the ACTUAL CHARACTER. The character was created by the scriptwriters. This is simply a popularity award. And some people might say that this is award is for an actor who has portrayed the character so well to receive this award. Then what's the Best Actor award for? I don't understand the use of this award. Can someone possibly give me some ideas?
Anyway, I think this will be the Top 5 nominees: Bosco Wong - Wars of In-Laws II Roger Kwok - D.I.E Ha Yu - Moonlight Resonance Raymond Lam - Moonlight Resonance Kevin Cheng - Last One Standing
Favourite Female Character:
I think this will be the Top 5 nominees: Liza Wang - Wars of In-Laws II Myolie Wu - Wars of In-Laws II Louise Lee - Moonlight Resonance Susanna Kwan - Moonlight Resonance Fala Chen - Moonlight Resonance
I think Charmaine should also be there for Word Twister's Adventures.
Most Improved Actor and Actress:
I don't need to say much, cause we already know the Top 5!
i am majorly bored now..thinking of starting a blog again..anyone own one? i use to blog a lot before but not much now..hmmm..maybe will start a tvb one..need to think of a name..any ideas? also what blogs do people normally use? i had one on xanga before..
Well, the first row are always women while the 2nd row are the guys... then the next row are girls, then guys.. etc. The first row will always have Liza Wang and Dodo Cheng on either side of Sir Run Shaw (Is that his name?)... and in past few years, the 2 that stand beside Liza and Dodo are Gigi and Charmaine. But since last year it became Lee Si Kei and Susanna Kwan, which pushes Gigi and Charmaine down one position. The rest usually changes by the year. For the guys, the Top 5 guys from recent years have been Roger Kwok, Bobby Au Yeung, Bowie Lam, Moses Chan and Kevin Cheng. They usually stand directly behind Sir Run Shaw, Liza, Dodo etc..
Yeah, they've both acted for tvb since the 70's and 80's and while they don't have many series in the 90's and 00's they do a lot of hosting and other variety shows for TVB.
I'm just wondering... If Tavia wins the Most Improved Actress award this year, when she gets up to receive the award and make a speech, do you think she'll mention that she had already won it 5 years back? LOL... Honestly, I think someone in TVB should recall that she already won it... I think Tavia's already gotten past that stage of upcoming actresses, like Sharon and Selena...
