saw them on this game show and they are mega cute together..power is the quiet one whereas mimi does all the talking..haha..

any of u guys watch other asian series?? running out of tvb to watch so just started watching a taiwan one called the outsider..should be quite good..quite good reviews online..

I am watching rolling love in cantonese on fairchild tv every saturday

i think theres a big difference in tvb and other series..tvb is more drama whereas taiwan series are more comedic and more idol dramas..sometimes over dramatic too cos a lot are based on mangas and animes..also think its more aimed at girls than guys..

if you girls have to watch one taiwan series in your lifetime, you have to watch meteor garden!! best one ever =D

also the graphics seems to be much better with tvb..the taiwan and korean ones never looks too good (looks like seventh day and under the canopy)..all dreamy and blurry like..lol..

just started watching black sugar machiatto..trying to come to terms with all these new idols..man these people are young..lol..and i thought farenheit was confusing..lollipop is even more confusing..and hey girl..omg..whay do they need 10 girls in a group??? but so far so good..kinda like watching series based in school..makes me feel young again..haha..

Have you guys seen the 2009 calendar?
I really like this year's! They look a lot better than last year's, though there are some months that don't look nice at all... and a bit boring.
But I must say, the make-up of some of the actresses is terrible!!

I think it looks okay. I quite like it. At least I know everyone on the calendar unlike last year's, where there were too many people on some months and I didn't really know all of them. Oct, Nov, and Dec seems about the same because most of them are in black and only one person is in red.

I like most of the months, but I am a bit disappointed with my month, May, because the girls' makeup are a bit too much, especially Yoyo and Shirley. I like Jan, Feb, and Nov the most; June and July are ok too.

LOL... I just have to say that Liza looks terrible in the December month, and I was shocked to hear some people in Asianfanatics saying that she looked great!
Yeah, some a re pretty similiar - especially November and October. 4 people, 1 person in red (as Honeybee said) and the black background. I think I would have wanted someone more experienced than Bernice in October, since she was placed with Gallen, Bobby and Maggie... She just seemed out of place.

Though I like the creativity of August (girls in bathing suits), I think their make up is awful. The red lipstick and pale white faces is just not that good-looking... (+ the cheesy forced smiles and laughs!)
I like January... The bright colours of the clothes and the mid-air poses is very different (for TVB).
February is just nice that TVB put all the older actresses together. Michelle is a stand out.. but I think they did something to Lee Si Kei's eyes.

I don't mind the simple design of April (Sunny, Myolie, Joe). I think it's actually quite chic. I think Myolie's make up is one of the best for the young girls. March is one of the best for me, but it would have been better if Charmaine and Sonija had better poses, with Charmaine without those 2 big sparkles, and Sonija with less makeup.

I think someone had already explained how bad May is! But I do like the 3D-look.
July would have been great if Aimee Chan had a better pose, and Natalie in more feminine clothes... And what's with the orange faces?

June is definitely too simple, but it would have been alright if Anna Yau gave more expression, and if no one photoshoped Sharon's face... Is that what she really looks like, because I think she looks really odd there... September (Adam, Mandy, Sheren, Christine, Michael), had a different idea, but the the poses weren't very good.

i stayed up til 7am finishing off a taiwan series called Brown Sugar Macchiato..people definitely need to watch these series before the stars have an impact on them..i remember i use to really despise F4 and refused to watch Meteor Garden, but then i gave in and watched it all in 2 days and fell in love with them..haha..same with this series now starring a teeny bopping boy band called Lollipop..like how serious can you take a boy band called Lollipop?? and they were all very pretty looking and all very young, but after starting it, i couldnt stop and now i want to watch more Lollipop stuff..haha..OST to it is really good too!!

with TVB stuff I'm watching Gem of Life, Off Pedder and When Easterly showers....WES is getting boring whilst Gem is really picking up..Off pedder is pretty funny too..

Yeah, I also watch game shows and other stuff, so that's why I'm behind on many series. Hopefully, I'll be able to catch up on everything soon. Once in awhile I do get the stories or characters mixed up if they're similar, but I'm usually okay.

I so agree with u AM about moonlight resonance I mean seriously you get confused about moonlight's storyline for bosco and linda because of the factor that one day their together the next they break up. It actually is pointless not bosco but his character the only reason they needed him there was to cause another problem between why raymond and linda can not end up together yet. I mean to me I think michelle yim is a big enough problem to stop them. Yet bosco is there and also a two timer.

I'm still watching Moonlight Resonance... and I just realised that Bosco's with Claire. Isn't Linda intelligent enough to know that she shouldn't be the third person??
Oh, and Linda & Bosco look more like friends/colleagues. I see no 'love' chemistry...
Also, because I think that they don't have enough dating scenes. And when when they do have screentime, it's just so pointless. Everytime Linda cries, I think as an audience, I should be crying too, but because her character is so annoying and the storyline is so stupid, I refuse to get 'into' her story... Linda Chung is great at crying, though. The whole Raymond - Linda - Bosco - Claire storyline makes me like Heart of Greed's Yoyo - Raymond - Linda - Moses story a lot more!
Kate Tsui's character and acting... are both irritating.

Like Heart of Greed, there are honestly TOO MANY characters. It's hard to settle in and get comfortable with the rotation of everyone's screentime. Unlike a lot of fans, I don't find Tavia Yeung's acting that outstanding. Lee Heung Kam should have won that award. But I have 5 discs to go, so I'm hoping that is where I would be able to see some great performances by Tavia. I've always seen her as a great young actress, but I only truly recognised her great acting abilities in the Building Blocks of Life. Linda is crying as I am typing this. I feel like punching her.
I feel that Susanna Kwan was unfairly dismissed in the Best Actress category. I think she really deserved to be in the Top 5.

I agree that TVB would probably not give an award to you if you recently returned, but Lee Si Kei did win her award for Heart of Greed...

Yeah, I voted for Konnie and Macy. I thought they both did well in their first series.

Besides Konnie and Macy, I voted for 3 other people.
I think Konnie is going to win too.

I've heard that the movie isn't as good as the book. I haven't seen the movie nor read the book, so no comments from me.

We used to not give presents or anything (or at least there wasn't much going on back then), not until after my youngest brother was born. My brother and two cousins are about the same age and there are two more cousins who are of the same age (they're about two years younger than my bro and their bro/sis), so they kind of got my aunts and uncles to start giving presents and stuff. We don't do decorations, nor do we put out the Christmas tree, but my mother bought a small tree a few years ago for my bro to decorate (she didn't bring it out this year though).

One thing that we usually do on Christmas is go to Atlanta to do grocery shopping and go eat dim sum (sounds boring, huh?). After we come home, we'll have dinner together. We actually do the same thing on Thanksgiving too (I actually didn't go to Atlanta on Thanksgiving this year).

we're really traditional..but our christmas would be different to those in other places cos we have our turkey then (we dont have thanksgiving in the uk)..got some pressies sorted..still got a few more to go..town is like so hectic now..dont even fancy shopping with so many people around..

anyone heard about the news with charles szeto?? he went gambling in macau and now owes loan sharks $800, 000 hkd =S he said he was scammed..

LOL, yeah I heard the news... I personally wouldn't be gambling at all, let alone be that stupid to follow those people...

Hmm... I've officially have no more interest in watching TVB series. The series these days just doesn't make me wanna keep watching... Hope that changes when I get Last One Standing...
I've started using Firefox (again - stopped a while back), and it's a lot better than Internet Explorer. A lot more convenient and innovative.
